Infanta is based on the text of Saviana Stănescu, which receives, in the interpretation of the director Diana Dragoş, new meanings. A fictional character tries to survive in the "real" world by reshaping others, casting them in their life story. Everything is expressed with playfulness and detachement from the historical figure of the Infanta, though constantly commenting it's outline and influence in western culture. It's a show about the fragility of the (invented) inner world, and about the struggle to tolerate others.
In the waiting room of a train station, a woman tries to communicate with the people crowded on and between seats and luggage. With humor and nonchalance, the character fills the time between train arrivals, offering subtle hints about the contrast to the historical figure of Infantas, her own and behaviour being a grotesque image and interpretation of Velasques' Infanta. All this time, each train is awaited with emotion and impatience to escape this world failing to communicate.
